"Thank you for sharing your beautiful home in Costa Rica, you really have quite a treasure yo put together, would return in a heartbeat.  We reflect back on the fabulous week in paradise with summy skies, beautiful sunsets and incredible friends. Makes the long dirt roads tolerable, what an adventure. Katrin met us as we arrived, her warmth and knowledge of the area put us at ease immediately. Still can't get over the fact we had a perfect beach to ourselves for the most part of everyday."

Alas we have to bid adeu,  I recommend you do what we did.....enjoy the natual beauty of Costa Rica. Zip LIne, volcano, waterfalls are wonderful, the fishing fantastic, the Tiki Hut was our favorite for lunch and dinner on the beach in Marbella. The beach at the house was al ours, how many places on the world can yo go where that happens.!!! One night we had a storm and no electricity for several hours we didn't care, no phone, no internet, no emals, no TV.....NO Problems."

Jim & Alane

"WOW we never expected our own personal beach in Cota Rica but thats what we had, not sure we will ever experience that again. The house is great, you have done such a wonderful job decorating. We love the vew the sound of the waves, the noisy bird and our new dog buddies. Fishig, snorkeling with Paski was great, Tiki Hut is a favorite  and private lunch at The Tree Tops with fresh self-caught red snapper was awesome."

"This has been the most relaxing vacation I've ever had.   Not so much to do that you have no spare time, but enough that there is something every day if you wish.  We absolutley love the Costa Rican people!  They were very patient of the gringos stumbling thorugh thier Spanish.  Katrin is a God-send and you are fortunate to have such an informed embassador to break in the gringos. It is easy to see why you fell in love with Costa Rica.  Thank you VERY much!"

"We stopped in Santa Cruz for groceries, could not believe it could rain so hard, 12 miles of dirt road. Your place is beautiful and so is the surrounding landscape. We met people at the condos and had a party, I suggest to future guests get to know the others around here that definitaly added to our good time while here in Costa Rica."

"We just wanted to say Thank You for letting us use your beautiful home in Costa Rica, we had an amazing time. We went on the canopy /zipline tour, swimming, had mud bath, hiking, horseback riding, feeding crocodiles and iguana's. We also feed monkeys, fishing and swimming with the turtles and surfing.

On Michelles 11th birthday we went to Tamarindo what a nice town! Michelle and John went surfing, enjoyed the waves, we ate lunch at this place called the Witches Rock restaurant where they served awesome food. Lots of sovenier shops , nice place for beginners to learn to surf.

The house was beautiful and very inviting we settled in and watched movies too.  Such a beautiful place we will definately miss it, awesome vacation for us and Marianna the housekeeper was terrific, she even cooked for us two nites, good cook."

"We went with Paski Adventures - We caught 22 fish; 20 were Mahi Mahi. We kept enough for dinner, some for our housekeeper Marianna, (she is so sweet) and gave the rest to the guys. He took us snorkeling and then to swim with the female turtles. AWESOME. He was so nice, helpful and made our trip truly great. When we got back to the house the power was out, so we found all the candles and sat there. Then we decided to take our fish and go to the Tiki Hut. Garret, the chef, also from Costa Mesa where we live, cooked up our fish several different ways . We loved the house! It had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. We used your champagne beach glasses for the wedding on the beach, it was perfect. Little crabs were found downstairs under the beds. And a gecko lives in the rafters as we heard him each night. We got dog food and fed the skinny light brown dog (we named peanut) that guarded the house each night. She kept all the other dogs away only letting one join her on occasion. We liked her company as she followed us on the beach daily.

I think this was a great family vacation here in Costa Rica!

"We had a good time in Costa Rica and appreciated the area that the house was in. Beautifully remote but close to many places. We found the Tiki Hut, Restaurant San Juanillo and Lolas to have knocked it out of the park, great food and locations!  Really enjoyed those places.  We liked Katrin, the concierge, she was factual and helped us find excellent excursions, some better than others but the service and concern was great to have. The house is beautiful especially upstairs with the master bedroom separate from the other two bedrooms. The downstairs is a little less private but worked.  We had the beaches to ourselves (we liked that) intermittent internet and phone service as it is the Costa Rican jungle and that happens sometimes. Fun to explore the area Overall, we will go back, loved the area and the people. "

Thank you

"My husband I and stayed in Costa Rica this past March 2012 on our honeymoon. We were well aware of the resort being closed, however, we were very excited to have our own private villa and a secluded beach only a few steps away. The Villa has been very well maintained. Although we had arrived late they had made sure to leave the up-lights on within the house to greet us. It immediately felt very welcoming and homey after a long day of traveling.  We had a house keeper every morning. She was very sweet! Our favorite parts about the Villa--breakfasts on the terrace and sunsets over the ocean!! INCREDIBLE!  Just grab a Pina Colada mixed with some local Costa Rican Rum, turn on the music, and relax on the patio hammock. The outdoor shower was awesome! Best time to take a shower was right before we went to bed- the view of the stars and the sounds of the ocean. just thinking about this makes me want to go back!
 Favorite local places:
Tree Tops Bed and Breakfast-only a short 15 minute drive in San Juanillo. Owners, Jack and Karen.  AMAZING Five Star, Five Course, Gourmet meal prepared fresh by Karen. We had such an incredible experience! Karen picks out the fish, from the local fish market, that same morning for dinner that night. *Reservations need to be made 1 day in advance* Jack sat down with us and
talked about all the local things to do. Fishing, snorkeling, surfing, horseback riding.the list could go on and on. Lolas Restaurant-located in Playa Avellanas. (approx 45 minute drive from Villa): white sand beaches, hammocks strung across palm trees, local music playing over the speakers. Miss Sky Canopy Tours-located in Nosara (approx 30 mins).  My husband and I are both afraid of heights! But this Zip-Lining experience was awesome! Very safe and secure.  The tour guides will help you feel comfortable and even go with you (which was a good thing for me;) But we eventually go over it and had a great time! Tamarindo-(approx 1 hr drive). Lots of  tourists.  White sand beaches, local shops, Auto Supermacdo (super marketkind of like a Vons or a Raleys here in the states), and restaurants. Our Costa Rican experience was definitely something that we will never forget!

"What a wonderful time we had in Costa Rica late last summer. . Our family went off the charts, we and the kids usually vacation in Hawaii, we used to live there and have family to stay with ... This year we did something different and so glad we did! We left our office for a week and went to the jungles and beaches of Costa Rica! We had an exceptional time. We were prepared to navigate some dirt roads (the norm there) as well as anticipate the slow life of a temporary local! We got more than we aticipated, adventure and relaxation! We so enjoyed the House that we chose, local, spacious with daily maid services full kitchen and comfortable accomadations. The Villa was beautiful and well designed. We used the beaches everyday with sadness to see our week end. We made arrangements with the consierge to take tours in the area, traveled with other vacationers to local interest points. Had good local food from the little local places to fine dining restaurants all 5 minutes to 20 minutes from our temporary home. Thank you for having such a wonderful piece of paradise!
We loved it and will return!"

"A fabulous trip to the real Costa Rica! We spent a glorious week at the Deubel's home near San Juanillo Costa Rica. Their home on the beach had every modern comfort and glorious views from the wrap around balcony. While we enjoyed all the amenities one would expect in a well-equipped home, we also got to experience a more rural and less touristy part of the country. Most days we would head to the small fishing village of San Juanillo to buy fresh fruit and fish for dinner. One night we made lobster paella (12 lobster tails for $15), another night we roasted a whole fish. We started the evening watching the sunset from the balcony with a rum drink in hand followed by some of the best food we have ever made. There are plenty of local restaurants when you don't walk to cook. The plato typico gives you a sense of the local cuisine. And our days were spent  with tours to see the sea turtles and  jungle,  walks along the beach, body surfing  and relaxing by the pool.
Costa Rica is beautiful and the opportunity to visit a more rural area while having all the luxuries of home made for a great vacation!
